Case Summary

Changzhou First People's Hospital

Changzhou First People's Hospital has worked with SenseCare since 2024 to build a systematic smart-hospital model. The collaboration focuses on high-value clinical scenarios, especially pathology, where embodied slide handling, AI-assisted diagnosis and a pathology model production platform form a closed loop from sample processing to model iteration.

12pathology AI modules

Plus one pathology reading management platform.

9imaging AI applications

Across chest, liver, heart and vascular scenarios.

2-5 min3D reconstruction

Reduced from 2-4 hours in liver and thoracic planning.

2024deep collaboration

SenseCare and the hospital began strategic cooperation.

The hospital presented systematic smart-hospital achievements across management, patient service, clinical research and medical quality at SHAQ 2026.

SenseCare provides core AI capability for pathology workflows including embodied slide handling, AI diagnosis and model production.

The hospital deployed one pathology reading management platform plus 12 AI-assisted diagnosis modules, alongside 9 imaging AI applications.

Pathology circulation efficiency improved by 30%, slide-quality stability by 35%, and AI-assisted diagnosis efficiency by 30%.

AI three-dimensional surgical reconstruction was shortened from 2-4 hours to 2-5 minutes, with surgical simulation improving preoperative assessment efficiency by more than 5x.

From pilot projects to a smart-hospital operating model

Changzhou First People's Hospital is building AI across hospital management, patient service, clinical research and medical quality. SenseCare acts as a core AI partner in this transformation, focusing on scenarios where clinical value is high and technical barriers are meaningful.

The cooperation shows how a city-level leading hospital can move from AI demonstration to everyday usage, turning AI into an operational capability rather than a collection of isolated tools.

Pathology as the core clinical breakthrough

In pathology, the collaboration connects embodied slide handling, AI-assisted diagnosis and a model production platform. The robotic slide-handling system standardizes repetitive laboratory work, reduces manual error risk and helps pathologists focus on quality control and higher-value technical management.

Built on a pathology foundation model trained with nearly 300,000 whole-slide images, the hospital deployed one pathology reading management platform plus 12 AI-assisted diagnosis modules covering high-frequency scenarios such as cervical TCT, gastrointestinal pathology, breast cancer immunohistochemistry, lymph-node metastasis, prostate biopsy and slide quality control.

Efficiency gains that patients can feel

The pathology AI system provides a reliable second opinion for physicians, including differentiation across inflammation, polyps, low-grade and high-grade dysplasia and cancer in gastrointestinal pathology.

The collaboration improved pathology circulation efficiency by 30%, slide-quality stability by 35% and AI-assisted diagnosis efficiency by 30%. In some gastroscopy pathology workflows, reports can now move toward same-day testing and next-day delivery, making the smart-hospital upgrade visible to patients as well as clinicians.

In imaging and surgical planning, the hospital has deployed 9 AI applications across chest, liver, heart, head-and-neck vessels and other high-frequency scenarios. AI three-dimensional reconstruction for liver and thoracic surgery was shortened from 2-4 hours to 2-5 minutes, and surgical simulation improved preoperative assessment efficiency by more than 5x.
